Submissions Brain – new updates, built on broker feedback, designed for the way you really work

At Mortgage Brain, we believe customer success is about products as well as service, which is why all of our updates start in the same place: a conversation with the brokers using our modules every day.

The latest round of improvements to Submissions Brain have been directly shaped from broker feedback. We’ve taken on board the friction points you told us about, the lengthy admin, and the rekeying you didn’t want to do one more time. We listened, and we’ve rebuilt the experience around what you actually need.

The problem brokers kept raising

The current market is increasingly dictated by affordability pressures, frequent rate changes and ever-shifting lender criteria. Given this environment, an initial submission can quickly become out of date. A DIP submitted on Monday might need resubmitting by Friday because a rate has moved or criteria have tightened.

That’s just the reality of advising in 2026. But the consequence, until now, was painful: brokers were re-keying the same client information into the same lender forms again and again. Every rate change, every criteria update, every fresh look at affordability meant starting from scratch.

It slowed down the client journey. It introduced the risk of errors creeping in through duplicated data entry. And frankly, it was a waste of broker time that should have been spent advising clients.

What’s changed in Submissions Brain

You can now re-DIP without re-filling the form.

It’s a simple sentence, but the impact on day-to-day broker workflow is significant. Here’s how it works in practice:

Complete the DIP form once. From that point on, the data is automatically mapped across each lender’s specific submission questions. When you need to re-DIP, whether that’s because a rate has moved, criteria have changed, or you simply want to test affordability with a different lender, the fields are pre-populated for you. Every field remains fully editable, so you stay in control of what gets submitted, but you’re no longer starting with a blank form.

For brokers placing cases with Halifax, there’s an additional benefit: the DIP can convert straight into a digital Full Mortgage Application (FMA), keeping the case moving without the usual switchover friction.

What this means for your business

The benefits are practical and measurable.

No more rekeying. Information entered once is available everywhere it’s needed, removing one of the most persistent sources of broker frustration.

Fewer errors. Duplicated manual entry is one of the most common causes of submission errors. Auto-population removes that risk at source.

Faster DIPs. With fields pre-filled, brokers can move from fact find to lender decision in a fraction of the time it used to take.

Coverage where it matters. Submissions Brain covers the top seven lenders in the UK, which means the majority of cases brokers place day-to-day are supported by the auto-fill workflow.

Resilience against rate and criteria volatility. When a lender repricing forces a resubmission, brokers aren’t penalised with another round of data entry. The form is ready to resubmit in a few clicks.

Full connection with CRM Brain. Data flows automatically between systems, so brokers working across the Mortgage Brain ecosystem benefit from genuinely connected workflows rather than separate tools that don’t talk to each other.

A clearer record of submissions, from an audit point of view. Where a case has been submitted more than once, links to the previous and original forms are kept alongside the latest version, so brokers can always see what’s gone before.

Why this matters

The mortgage market is unpredictable. Rates move, criteria shift, affordability calculations are recalibrated. Brokers can’t control any of that. What they can control is how quickly and accurately they respond on behalf of their clients.

Submissions Brain is designed to remove the friction that sits between a broker and a decision. Less duplication. Less starting from scratch. Less time spent on admin, and more time spent advising.

Initial feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive. The impact on broker workflow is substantial and that’s exactly the kind of forward thinking, broker-led improvement we’re committed to delivering.

Built on what you told us

This update is part of something bigger. Across Mortgage Brain, we’ve moved from customer service to customer success. We don’t believe in waiting for brokers to flag problems. Instead, we’re actively shaping our technology around how brokers practically work. Visible feedback loops, continuous module improvements, and a commitment to making sure every update works for you.

If you’re already using Submissions Brain, the new functionality is live now. If you’d like to see it in action, or you want to talk to our Customer Success team about how to get the most from your setup, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
